2nd Buriganga Bridge

There are two bridges over the river buriganga. The 2nd Buriganga Bridge is a road bridge constructed over the river Buriganga. The Bridge is located about 3 km away from the city centre in the south over the river Buriganga which connects Babubazar and Jinjira. The bridge carries a 4-lane roadway and two 1.5m wide sidewalks on its 14.6m wide deck. The bridge provides an essential road connection across the river buriganga in Dhaka city. In addition to providing a fixed crossing close to the city center, it offers more direct access from Dhaka city to Dhaka-Khulna Road. It connected not only Babu bazar to Jinjira but also connected Keranigong-Dhohar in the West Dhaka-Mawa-Khulna National Highway in the East by constructing approach road.
